Humaun Kabir

Humaun KabirMr. Kabir is a PhD student at the School of Social Work, University of Texas at Arlington. He has completed both BSS & MSS from the Institute of Social Welfare and Research, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He worked in three policy-making research projects focusing on disability development and social awareness, funded by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Bangladesh Government. He also worked as a research assistant at the Centre for Peace and Justice, BRAC University. Currently, he is research affiliate at two research institutes: the Child Welfare Research Center at SSW, UTA and the Centre for the Study of Interpersonal Acceptance & Rejection at the University of Connecticut. His research is focused on developmental disability, child welfare, and parent-child relationship. The goals of his research are to promote developmental disability rights and child development to establish smooth family relationships regardless of disadvantaged identities.
