The Power Up + Tech Up program seeks to build marketable skills training opportunities that will add value to your UTA degree. The program supports our transfer students by covering all financial costs. Skills training are self-paced and online so that you can decide your own schedule. Success coaches will be with you along the way to support you towards completion.

All transfer students are welcome to register. Students transferring credit from one of our three partner schools – Collin College, Dallas College and Tarrant County College – are especially encouraged to register.
Power Up + Tech Up program covers 100% of costs, saving you hundreds of dollars.
The Power Skills modules will be offered by CareerSpots and will take 8 - 10 hours total. All modules are self-paced and online.
The Tech Skills modules can vary in length, depending on the skill that you choose. Students can typically expect to spend less than 10 hours of flexible study per week for 3 to 6 months. All modules are online.
Students will also meet in person 1-2 times per semester. These student-centered meetings are opportunities for you to strengthen your resume and interview skills with your new power and tech skills.
Once you complete the Career Spots training in power skills, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Highlight the Certificate on your resume and digital profile!
Students completing a Tech Skills module will be able to display their skills with a Google certificate. This can be included in written resumes and digital profiles.
Students who complete Java training with Revature are likely to be interviewed and hired by Revature immediately upon graduation. Revature has hired about 70 – 80% of all students who complete their modules.
Participants can select at least one of the three options – Java training (with Revature), a Grow with Google certificate, or Microsoft credentials. Participants who desire other specialized training may select a customized LinkedIn Learning Path.
