Become a Member

Ready to take action? Becoming a member is easy and rewarding. By joining the Alliance and participating in a Working Group,, your time can make a difference in our community. We encourage individual members or organizations to commit to an area of service that most interests them as a community member. Organizational members are encouraged to find a role that best aligns with their skill set or areas of responsibility at their place of employment.

Service Learning

Service learning integrates community service into academic coursework, whereby students engage in classroom activities and reflection related to the performance of local service projects within the course. More than a volunteer opportunity, service learning benefits both the student and the community partner through reciprocity of needs, which furthers the students’ educational goals while promoting civic responsibility. The annual Partner Breakfast brings together UT Arlington faculty, staff, and administrators with regional nonprofit community agencies, providing a unique opportunity for collaboration in service-learning projects within UT Arlington academic courses.
