Through its presence and visibility, the African American Faculty and Staff Association (AAFSA) shall:

1. provide advice and support to faculty, staff and constituents.
2. sponsor mentoring opportunities for membership, etc.
3. assist and advise on issues related to the success of faculty, staff and students.
4. provide a forum for research and professional development.
5. develop partnerships with other University organizations.
