NBC 5 spoke with UTA alumna Blanca Paloma Gonzalez about her 24-hour run through the streets of Uvalde to pay tribute to the victims of the Robb Elementary School shooting and to raise scholarship funds for Uvalde High School seniors.

Memorial Day

UTA and the city of Arlington hosted a ceremony on Memorial Day ceremony at the Memorial to the Fallen in Arlington’s Veterans Park. The Memorial to the Fallen features an on-site QR code that accesses an archive built by UTA students that provides biographical and other information about every Arlington resident who died in service to the U.S. from World War I through the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Data centers

Dereje Agonafer, presidential distinguished professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, has partnered with an Austin-based tech company to develop innovative methods to cool data centers, which currently consume significant energy and water, and prevent overheating.
