Outgoing UT System Chancellor J.B. Milliken wrote an op-ed in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram mentioning that UTA has the “opportunity colleges and universities” designation and is a Carnegie R-1 research institution.
Data centers
Dereje Agonafer, presidential distinguished professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, has partnered with an Austin-based tech company to develop innovative methods to cool data centers, which currently consume significant energy and water, and prevent overheating.
