Her work, which exists physically and virtually, has been exhibited, screened, and published nationally and internationally. She is the recipient of several OER Grants from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

Diana was born in Mexico, received her MFA from the University of North Texas, and is an Assistant Professor of Sound Art at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Together, they captivate audiences with their unique interpretations of rock and soul classics, spanning decades from the 60s to today's hottest hits.

Helium Queens - Thursday, July 24

What exactly is the Helium Queens? Helium Queens is a futuristic, sci-fi, electronica band that is part performance art and was originally the brainchild of singer, keyboardist, and composer Poppy Xander. Xander (who plays in multiple bands, including The Polyphonic Spree and PriMadonna) teamed up with fellow musicians Sharla Franklin (King George, The Fiddle Rascals) and Chelsey Danielle (Pearl Earl, No Good Babies) in 2017 to bring the idea to life.

Dressed in neon, glowing outfits, Xander performs as Piscea Xandaria, Franklin as Starre Lux Nectaris, and Danielle as Venoo Andromeda. The trio has crafted a whole universe (or YOUniverse as they call it) and invite you to experience the immersive, spectacular, world of the Helium Queens at the UTA Planetarium where we bring outer space to you.

Isaac Sloane and the Sound Brigade - Friday, October 3

2025 Dallas Entertainment Awards “Best Blues group” nominee/Isaac Sloane & The Sound Brigade is a 6 piece psychedelic jazz infused blues/rock n' roll band out of Denton, Texas. Formed in October of 2021, the group has quickly become a local favorite in the scene with their unique blend of in-your-face ground shaking rock n' roll, and soulful blues with elements of virtuosic jazz. The band is composed of Michael Peterson and Donicio Trujillo on saxophone, Jake Kerley on keys, Anthony Peterson on drums and his brother Michael Peterson (yes there are two!) on bass and band leader/guitarist/vocalist Isaac Sloane.
