Training & Awareness

In order to ensure the security of the University's information and online environment, the Information Security Office dedicates much care toward training University employees and students. The best weapon against cyberattacks  is a well-informed and adequately cautious public. Below, you can find pages that provide good tips for keeping your information secure, as well as information about current incidents, our department newsletter, our events on campus and more.

Cybersecurity Training with KnowBe4

The Information Security Office (ISO) is responsible for administering Cybersecurity training for all university employees. In the past, the training has been a module within compliance training. This year, ISO partnered with KnowBe4, a company that specializes in cybersecurity, to present the training individually.  If you have not yet completed the training, please do so before Dec. 31, 2022.

Sign in with your UTA Email and password to the KnowBe4 training site at https://go.uta.edu/CyberTraining.  Click on "TRAINING" at the top, and select "Annual Security Training and Acceptable Use Policy Acknowledgement."  Please be sure to complete both sections.
