Meet with your advisor once a semester to ensure you stay in your cohort and on track to graduate.

Identify books, websites, study aides, and classroom locations each semester.
Complete UNIV-AR 1131 / INTD 1101 to learn about resources available to students and to provide better success in your major.
Verify important dates each semester via the Academic Calendar.
Attend lecture series hosted throughout the year by the SOA.
Join a UTA club or organization to meet and become involved with like-minded peers.
Participate in and observe studio juries.
Dedicate yourself to sketching daily for honing drawing skills. Keep a sketchbook!
Maintain and document all submitted work to build your portfolio.
Speak with Lockheed Martin Career Development Services about on-campus and summer job opportunities.
Apply to be a mentee with C.A.M.P.
Complete all Intended Studies to progress to Major Declared Studies.
Check CAPPA website to see available adv. electives offered each semester.
Consider adding a minor.
Apply regularly to CAPPA scholarships through Mav ScholarShop.
Become a member of a professional student organization, such as AIAS, IIDA, & USGBCS.
Participate and volunteer in local architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture communities.
Attend interest meetings for SOA faculty-led study abroad trips.
