DEGREE OVERVIEW

The Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) is designed to prepare a competent, self-directed, general practitioner of nursing who can assume increasing responsibility and leadership in the delivery of nursing care. Two tracks are available to earn a BSN: the prelicensure BSN and the RN-BSN. These tracks are offered in two main formats: campus-based and accelerated online.


ABOUT THE PROGRAM

For individuals seeking to become a registered nurse, the Bachelor of Science in nursing prelicensure program provides the broad educational preparation necessary to make an efficient transition into the complex world of health care.
Learning experiences are provided at a variety of institutions and agencies; acute care hospitals as well as community agencies including public schools, home health agencies, nursing homes, and day care centers provide a broad variety of clinical nursing practice experiences.

Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN)

The RN-BSN program is designed to enhance students’ nursing practice while building upon their current skills and abilities. The RN-BSN program prepares students for expanding professional roles in the health care system.
Students enrolling full-time in the classroom option can complete the nursing courses in two semesters.

RN to BSN Campus Based

Online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Students in the accelerated online RN-BSN program learn to implement globally focused and culturally appropriate strategies for health promotion and disease prevention across the lifespan as well as develop the ability to use decision-making and leadership skills
Students enrolling full-time in the accelerated online option can complete the nursing courses in as little as nine months.
