Public Relations Student Society attends international conference

Six of UTA’s Public Relations Students Society of America members and Public Relations specialist Jennifer Little attended the group’s national conference in Austin on Oct. 5.

“The networking part is incredibly interesting, because you get to be surrounded by different college students from different states, who are pursuing the same career,” said Sergio Tapia, UTA public relations junior and PRSSA National Liaison. “I got to come home with a bright perspective and new friendships.”

Tapia helps find scholarships for individuals majoring in Public Relations. He said he believes public relations is a beneficial major and minor students should be more aware about, because it helps them communicate on high levels.
