Your Tuition Could be 100% Covered
The Blaze Forward Program
The University of Texas at Arlington will cover 100% of tuition and mandatory fees for undergraduate students who meet all eligibility requirements and are from families with adjusted gross incomes of less than $85,000.
We call it Blaze Forward, and it will cover tuition and fees for up to four years for all eligible new students and up to two years for all eligible transfer students who meet the income and residency requirements.
If you’re already a UTA student who meets the eligibility requirements, we’ll cover your tuition and fees for the number of semesters remaining for an on-time graduation. Students must be Texas residents and be eligible for the TEXAS Grant program to qualify.
How to Become a BSW Major
What it Takes to Be a Change Maker
Students interested in the BSW must first apply to UTA or be a current UTA student and then select or switch to Social Work as your intended major. Once admitted to UTA or already a current UTA student, you must complete the following Social Work requirements before transitioning from Intended-Social Work major to an official Social Work major:
- A “C” or better in all Social Work-intended courses taken
- A Minimum 2.5 overall GPA
- Completion of 42 hours toward the required UTA Core Curriculum
