The University of Texas at Arlington School of Social Work, in partnership with the Tarrant Area Food Bank, is gearing up for its annual Trunk-or-Treat & Food Giveaway on Saturday, November 1, from 12 to 3 p.m.
The event will take place on UTA’s campus at 505 Doug Russell Road, Parking Lot 49, located at the corner of South Cooper Street and Doug Russell Road.
This family-friendly celebration promises a fun-filled afternoon with face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, a corn maze, and a train ride for kids. Families can also enjoy a safe Trunk-or-Treat experience featuring decorated car trunks and plenty of treats.
Along with the festivities, the event will offer a drive-thru food giveaway for families and community members facing food insecurity. Each pre-packaged food box includes fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy, and meat, all donated by the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
The goal is to not only celebrate the season but also to support those in need and reduce the stigma around accessing food resources.
