Family Outreach Coalition is a Multi-Use facility that is designed to provide the following:

  1. Support for our Men and Women in Uniform by providing Care Packages.
  2. Support for Disaster Victims by providing Money support and Care Packages.
  3. Provide a place for our youths to learn skills designed to help them find employment.
  4. Provide a place for College Students to study, relax, and meet others.

For Love & Art believes that sharing one's experience while viewing great art enriches quality of life psychosocially, cognitively, spiritually and physically.

We partner with community outreach programs of museums around the world and bring their collections, digitally, into senior communities and other venues catering to the sick and/or infirm. Our volunteers showcase the masterpieces engage the residents to share their thoughts and feelings while viewing any of our partner museum collections.

For Love & Art is a 501(c)3 nonprofit enterprise that brings the Art Experience to those with limited mobility. We stimulate art appreciation while empowering caregivers to love people in creative and transformative ways.

General Service Needs

For Love & Art is looking for volunteers willing and able to lead hour-long presentations featuring the works from a particular museum once or twice a month. Training will include how best to appreciate artwork and how best to interact with people to fully realize what art has to offer - mind, body and soul - to people at the grassroots.
Also needed are volunteers willing to approach new senior facilities in the Metroplex and introducing them to our beautiful and creative program.
Other skills are welcomed, including video production, event planning and graphic design.

Tasks Available for UTA Students

  • Join us as we celebrate art with seniors.
  • Introduce new venues to our program.
  • Raise awareness of the need for quality of life services among seniors in our community.

Our mission is to ignite a brighter future for urban youth by engaging them today and equipping them for tomorrow.

We feel called to bring hope to the lives of at-risk children by providing resources that will help them break the cycle of generational poverty. Our programs, preschool, after school, summer, mentoring & parent engagement, are designed to ignite spiritually, engage relationally, and equip academically.

General Service Needs
Fortress is always looking for mentors from the community to work one-on-one with our students. The mentor is a positive role model from the community (that has completed high school) that invests one hour a week over the course of at least one school year with their mentee. This can be any hour during our after school program hours (3:00 - 6:30 pm, Monday-Thursday). The mentor's responsibility is to:

  • Build a relationship by planning and participating in activities with a mentee.
  • Serve as a positive role model and friend.
  • Demonstrate positive, appropriate behaviors and encourage those behaviors in a mentee.
  • Provide encouragement and support to help a mentee achieve his/her goals.
  • Build self-esteem and motivation.
  • Are consistently available.
  • Have fun together!

Community Tax Centers is a Foundation Communities program that returns millions of dollars to the local economy by helping families take better control of their finances through free tax preparation and match saving programs.

The Foundation for C.H.O.I.C.E. offers a 27-week mentoring program to prepare at-risk high school students for college and careers. General service needs include patient companionship and administrative assistance.

Tasks available for UT Arlington students
Volunteers are needed to serve as patient companions, visiting patients and engaging in whatever activity enjoyed by the individual. Companions read to patients, watch television, accompany patients on walks, play games, write letters for, etc.

Volunteers are also needed to help in other ways as well including administrative assistance, delivering meals of comfort to patient families upon the death of a loved one, capture patient stories and memories, send cards to patients to provide cheer.
