H.O.P.E. Tutoring is a non profit, one on one, after school tutoring program. We work with grades, 3rd through 8th. Our students are considered, low income, at risk students. Our volunteer tutors work with students on homework, and then focus on specific subject needs, such as reading comprehension or math. We have many resources through books, worksheets, computers and educational games.

General Service Needs

We look for volunteer tutors that will work with a student, one to two hours a week. Our volunteers are assigned a student and work with that same student each week.

Tasks Available for UTA Students

We need our volunteers to be able to work with students on their homework and help identify other areas of study where they may need extra help. Volunteer tutors must be 16 years of age and reliable. H.O.P.E. needs a commitment for at least one semester. We have site managers at each class location that are there to help tutors with information and resources.
