Image / Video Guidelines

When using photography on a website, it's essential to ensure that images are both accessible and contribute to good design. For accessibility, always include descriptive alt text for each image, which helps users with visual impairments understand the content. Ensure that the images are high-quality but optimized for fast loading times (we recommend images be jpgs under 2MB) , as slow loading can hurt both user experience and SEO. Design-wise, images should complement the content, not overwhelm it—use visuals that enhance the message and maintain a consistent style throughout the site. Videos should be linked threw video embed components note that hero with videos are recommended to not have sound and cannot auto play with sound.

Text in images should be avoided if possible and any words in images need to be included within an images alt text and have high contrast on simple background.
