Event Catering

1. General Policy
University faculty, staff, and student organizations can sponsor events at UTA with food and beverages, provided they comply with Policy 5-309 CO-CF-PO1. This policy applies campus-wide to all departments and events, both large and small.

2. On-Campus Catering

• Maverick Catering:
  UTA Dining Services offers on-campus catering through Maverick Catering.

  • Visit Maverick Catering to explore services, catering menus, and online ordering options.
  • Benefit: 10% of all sales are directly paid back to UTA.

• External Clients:
  External clients must use Maverick Catering when booking space in the University Center.

3. Using Outside Caterers
If you opt not to use Maverick Catering, you may select from the Approved Caterers or Approved Food Trucks.

• Request Approval:
  Submit an Outside Vendor Request at least 14 days before your event by completing the form linked in the sidebar. Approval status will be emailed once reviewed.

• PaymentWorks Details:

  • A "Y" in the PaymentWorks column indicates the caterer can be paid directly by departments.
  • If the caterer does not have a "Y," our department can invite them to complete the PaymentWorks process upon request.
  • Follow additional payment guidelines in Policy BF-PGS-PR-12.

• Unlisted Caterers:
  If your desired caterer is not listed:

  • Departments and student organizations must refer to the New Caterer Guidelines (linked in the sidebar).
  • Submit required documents to ucrequest@uta.edu at least 14 days in advance for approval.
  • Note: This approval is separate from the PaymentWorks process.
