‘An outstanding education for every student’
The University of Texas at Arlington’s online master’s programs in education are ranked among the top 20 nationally for veterans and for curriculum and instruction, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 list of Best Online Programs.
The magazine ranked the College of Education’s online master’s program for veterans as No. 16 in the country, and its online master’s program in curriculum and instruction as No. 19. U.S. News rated the College of Education’s overall online master’s programs as No. 52 nationally.
“It is exciting to see that programs in UTA’s College of Education continue to be recognized for their excellence,” said Teresa Taber Doughty, dean of the College of Education. “Our faculty members make our students their top priority. The result is an outstanding education and experience for every student.”
UT Arlington’s College of Education currently offers baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees through the departments of Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Students may also pursue professional teacher, administrator and other certifications.
The college has been recognized as one of Texas’ best institutions for training and equipping tomorrow’s educators and education policy leaders. A survey by the Texas Education Agency found 100% of UTA’s College of Education graduates felt “well prepared” or “sufficiently prepared” by their teacher preparation program. Additionally, the College of Education’s overall graduate program has been recognized as top tier.
U.S. News & World Report publishes its standings annually and has earned a reputation as the leading provider of ranking information through its “Best” series, which includes lists for college programs, undergraduate and graduate schools and more. The rankings are calculated through a scoring system from statistical and peer reputation surveys that analyze engagement, services and technologies; expert opinion from academic officials; faculty credentials; and training and student excellence.
