The University of Texas at Arlington has received a 2025 Anthology Catalyst Award in the Student Experience category for its innovative use of technology to advance student success and institutional excellence.

The annual Anthology Catalyst Awards honor institutions and individuals that use Anthology solutions in bold, inspiring and impactful ways. Winners are selected globally across higher education for their leadership, innovation, and commitment to expanding access and improving outcomes for learners.

The Student Experience award specifically recognizes institutions that enhance the holistic student journey—academically, socially and personally—through innovative applications of technology.

“Receiving the 2025 Catalyst Student Experience Award affirms what we have long known at UT Arlington: When we empower student voices through intentional innovation, we create meaningful and measurable impact,” said Lowell Davis, vice president for student affairs. “This recognition speaks to the extraordinary work of our student organizations team and campus partners who have made MavEngage more than just a platform, but a catalyst for connection, belonging and student success. I am proud of this team for setting a new national standard in engagement.”

MavEngage and MavEngage Mobile are UTA’s platforms for all things student engagement—from showcasing 300-plus student organizations to managing membership rosters to promoting campus events and involvement opportunities around campus. Students, faculty and staff can easily connect with other Mavericks and access the full range of engagement experiences in one place.

“This prestigious award confirms the creative initiative and relentless dedication of our staff, leadership and community partners. Collectiviely, we’ve revolutionized what student engagement can look like through MavEngage and MavEngage Mobile,” said Michael Onuchovsky, assistant director of student organizations. “The platform has not only transformed the way students can access opportunities, but has also elevated the overall student experience. We’re grateful to be receiving this global accolade and will continue working to transform student experiences at UTA.”

“We believe in the power of together, and this year’s Catalyst Award winners are shining examples of what happens when institutions partner with purpose, vision and innovation to transform the future of education,” said Bruce Dahlgren, chief executive officer of Anthology.
