TikTok Ban
Dallas ISD is the latest school district to ban use of TikTok on district devices and Wi-Fi networks, CBS 11 reports. UTA is among several North Texas universities to have made such a move in response to Governor Greg Abbott’s recent directive about the popular social media video app.
Making an Impact
UTA students connected with more than 140 campus organizations, University offices and vendors at the spring 2023 Activity Fair, U.S. Fed News reports. Noreen Flores, chief of staff with UTA Student Government, says she got involved to make an impact on campus.
First-Generation Success
UTA is ensuring all first-generation and transfer students have the tools they need to succeed as part of its First-Generation Education series, U.S. Fed News reports. Daisy Macias, a junior transfer student, called the advice she received during a recent session beneficial.
