Historic Gift
UTA alumnus Kelcy Warren has made a $12 million gift to help elevate UTA in the growing field of resource and energy engineering, Fort Worth Report, Dallas Innovates, KRLD, KLIF, WBAP, Fox 4, WFAA and The Shorthorn report. The gift is the largest in UTA history.

Studying Reservoirs
The Texas Water Development Board is partnering with UTA and other groups on a pilot program to help alleviate the impacts of droughts and select flood events, Texas Water Newsroom reports. Yu Zhang, UTA associate professor of civil engineering, says forecast-informed reservoir operations have “the potential to help address water reliability and flood risks.”
Maverick up for Pulitzer
UTA alumna Linah Mohammad was among the finalists for a Pulitzer Prize, U.S. Fed News reports. Mohammad, a producer for NPR’s All Things Considered, was recognized for her work with her former colleagues at The Washington Post on a six-part investigative podcast examining how American law enforcement uses and misuses no-knock warrants.
