For labrum tears, regrowth rather than repair

Bioengineer Professor Liping Tang was featured in Science Magazine for his new method of repairing labrum tears that enables the body to regenerate tissue to completely reattach to the sides of the tear. “We can’t stop aging or injuries, but we can make sure that injuries can heal faster and have a better functional recovery,” he said.

Alumni artist earns national acclaim

Dallas-based painter Francisco Moreno’s (’10 B.F.A., Painting) work has earned national acclaim, with a solo exhibition scheduled for January at San Francisco’s COL Gallery, the Dallas Express reported.
