Daylight Saving

Christine Spadola, assistant professor of social work, gave tips on KLIF-AM to adjust to daylight saving time. Spadola recommended staying hydrated and maintaining a regular sleep schedule. She said it will take two to three weeks to adjust.

Special Education Grant

UTA will be giving more than $1 million in grants to help cover tuition, books and fees to students pursing degrees in special education, NBC 5 and Spectrum News report.

Cicadas

For the first time in 221 years, two different broods of cicadas will emerge at the same time. However, the Dallas-Fort Worth area is not in the path. To see them, residents will have to travel to the Oklahoma-Texas line, UTA’s Alison Ravenscraft told the Fort Worth Report. KERA re-published this story.
