Villupuram said a service offered at a cheaper price “can be a red flag on its quality or reliability.”

Solar Eclipse in North Texas

Levent Gurdemir, director of the UTA Planetarium, spoke with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram about the upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8. Gurdemir said Texans will have a “once-in-a-lifetime” front-row seat to the event.

Rattlesnake Season in Texas

Greg Pandelis, curator of the Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center, spoke with the Houston Chronicle about why it’s rare to see rattlesnakes in cities. Yards in urban areas aren’t ideal habitats for rattlesnake because they aren’t big enough for the snakes to hide, eat and mate.

Special Education Teachers

UTA will be giving more than $1 million in grants to help cover tuition, textbooks, accommodations and childcare to students pursuing degrees in special education, The Dallas Express reports. The grant is aimed at increasing the number of special education teachers.

Daylight Saving

Christine Spadola, assistant professor of social work, said daylight saving time can be most difficult for teens and parents of young kids, WBAP reports. Spadola recommends staying hydrated and keeping a regular sleep schedule.
