Update: After 1:00 pm Parking Rules in Effect — Campus Reopens thursday 1/29
Campus will reopen Thursday, 1/29, and we’ll start the day with "After 1:00 PM" parking rules in effect due to lingering icy conditions. Under these temporary rules:
-
Student commuters may park in any zone, so you’re not obligated to return to your assigned zone if it’s covered in ice.
- This is different from our usual After 5:00 PM rules, which also allow parking in faculty/staff lots.
Important reminders:
- Resident permit holders must return to assigned zones by 7:00 AM Thursday, 1/29.
-
A valid UTA parking permit is still required to park anywhere on campus.
-
Be cautious when walking or driving on campus — icy conditions may still exist in shaded areas.
As campus prepares for possible inclement weather this weekend, here are some important updates to keep in mind:

-
Parking Under Cover: "After 5:00 PM" parking rules will be in effect starting 12:00 PM on Friday, 1/23, through 7:00 AM on Wednesday, 1/28. During this time, all valid permit holders may park in the West Campus or College Park garages without additional fees.
-
Garage Parking: The top floors and ramps of College Park, West Campus, and Maverick garages will be closed due to potential ice. Other areas may close as needed for safety.
-
Resident permit holders may begin parking in lower garage levels at 5:00 PM Thursday, 1/22, and must return to assigned zones by 7:00 AM Thursday, 1/29.
