Start Strong at UTA

Your first year as a Maverick starts here. UTA offers a dynamic transition experience through Blaze Camp (Extended Orientation) and SuccessU (Early Arrival) are designed for students who are ready to take ownership of their college journey from day one. Blaze Camp allows you to begin your transition early through immersive, high-impact experiences, while SuccessU reinforces that foundation as you prepare to start the semester. Together, these experiences position you to start strong, stay connected, and thrive throughout your first year.

Transition Program & Services

The Office of Transition Programs facilitates the successful transition of Transfer Students and First-Generation College Students students that commute to campus and/or are enrolled in a remote degree program. Through targeted programs, events, resources, and services, these two populations fall under the purview of the Office of Transition Programs.

Family Programs

Families and supporters are critical partners in a student’s education. UTA’s Family Programs is dedicated to building a strong relationship with families and supporters by providing opportunities for them to stay connected, get involved, and seek support.
