A Texas LCDCi licensure requires 300 hours in practice setting in which at least 20 hours are in each of the following:
All social work majors are required to earn 480 hours in a field practicum (SOCW 4951 & 4952 or SOCW 4955 & 4956). Social work students completing their field placement at an SUT-related agency can count 300 of these hours towards this LCDCi requirement.
Social work field practicums have numerous SOCW prerequisites and are not available to non-social work majors at this time. We encourage non-social work students to inquire about internship opportunities within their major department.
