Bio: Lee joined UTA as the College Business Officer in March 2018 after serving as the Director of Planning and Budget for the University Library at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). He is originally from San Antonio and is a military veteran. Lee served in the US Navy from 1985-1993. Lee holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and has a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He has bachelor’s degrees in accounting and business management. Lee has been in higher education for 28 years. He began his higher education career with the San Diego Community College District in 1995. He moved on to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in 2005. He spent the first five years at UCSD in budget and finance for the School of Medicine and then moved on to the Department of Physics as the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Chief Operating Officer for the next five and a half years until late 2015. He was at UCR for two and a half years. Lee enjoys golfing, reading, and woodwork.
