DEGREE OVERVIEW

Information Systems focuses on the use of computers and information technology to address business needs. The focus is how technology works within a business organization and what type of technology should be used to solve a business problem. Students gain skills to help an organization address their strategic information needs from both technical and business perspectives.


ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The AACSB-accredited 120-credit-hour degree programs include 18 to 21 hours of information systems courses built around the core business curriculum. The course work is designed to provide the right mix of technology and business skills. Information systems undergraduate courses include:

DEGREE OPTIONS

BBA – Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems

This option allows for a double major with another business area of study and includes 18 hours of advanced information systems. Blending the BBA in information systems with the BBA in accounting is beneficial depending on career goal. Or a student may opt to include one of the various business certificates rather than the double major.

BS – Bachelor of Science in Information Systems

The BS in information systems is a recognized STEM program and includes 21 hours of advanced information systems courses in the 120-hour program.
