In UTA’s Mathematics program, the Bachelor of Science degree can be tailored to fit a wide range of academic and career goals. This degree is well suited for students considering graduate study or exploring technical career directions, with optional focus in actuarial science, applied mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics, data science, and secondary teaching certification.

Students also may also pursue accelerated pathways that combine a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Master of Science in Mathematics or a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering. As a major center for mathematics research and education in North Texas, the department is home to nationally recognized faculty with distinguished achievements in teaching and research. Faculty-led scholarship, supported by major national agencies, creates opportunities for students to engage with current research and applied problem-solving.
