Join us for a special Distinguished Women in Science presentation by Alexandra Navrotsky, Ph.D., Regents Professor at Arizona State University, Director of the Navrotsky Eyring Center for Materials of the Universe, and National Academy of Sciences member. She has made major contributions to both mineralogy/geochemistry and to solid state chemistry/materials science.

Join us for a fun free movie night (movie announcement coming soon) in the comfy confines of the Planetarium! With Halloween only a few days away, the wearing of costumes is highly encouraged.

To promote active learning, enhance mathematics research, and facilitate academic exchange, the department regularly hosts a variety of special events, ranging from summer experience for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students to colloquia and seminars for faculty and graduate students to international conferences that bring world renowned researchers to UTA. These special events and activities have become an integral part of departmental education, research, and increased visibility.
