Meet Your Advisor – Denise Hayes
The UTA College of Business will showcase each business advisor as they share fun personal facts about themselves. Denise Hayes will celebrate 10 years with UTA in July and is the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Advising. She specializes in fast-track accounting and the Goolsby Leadership Academy.

What do you love most about being a college advisor?
I have 3 things:
- meeting them at orientation
- completing a grad audit after I know what obstacles they have overcome
- and this is my favorite-see them at commencement with the smiles, selfies and hugs! Bottom line-Making a difference!
What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?
Love to go out on the lake in our boat, spend time with our dogs and watch sports on the back deck.

What was your favorite vacation?
Any cruise vacation. I get to spend quality time with hubs and disconnect. I’ve been able to hold Sophie the Sloth, kiss a stingray and pet a dolphin.
Who is your favorite band at the moment?
Always has been Journey….the real one with Steve Perry.

Chuy’s.
What is your favorite material possession?
My late father’s wedding ring.
