Scott Elbert is celebrating eight years at UTA as a Graduate and Undergraduate Academic Advisor at the College of Business. He loves working with students, but also enjoys the intricacies of advising, such as policies and processes. Favorite lunch spot?
My truck! Most days I like to just relax and recharge by eating lunch in my truck. If I do go out though, Nagoya is always a good spot.
Favorite book, movie or TV show?
The Power of Habit is a really good book. Human behavior has always been of interest to me so I enjoy reading books about why people do the things they do.

If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be and why?
Seasoning food from the heart! If I don't have a recipe, my cooking will inevitably be super bland or super salty. There is no in-between.
What is one piece of advice you wish every student could hear?
Success isn't about intelligence. It's about a willingness to learn as you go, put in the work, and get back up when you fail. Your goals are attainable if you are willing to put in the work!
