UTA School of Social Work Graduates 304 in Fall 2025 semester

The University of Texas at Arlington’s School of Social Work recognized student achievement and celebrated graduating students during the Celebration of Excellence held Dec. 11 and the universities Commencement Ceremony, Dec. 12.

The Celebration of Excellence honored students across all academic programs and highlighted academic achievement, leadership and service within the School of Social Work. The event included a hooding ceremony for doctoral and Master of Social Work students, the presentation of cords to Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Substance Use Treatment students, and special recognitions for outstanding student achievement.

The Celebration of Excellence also featured the Social Work pinning ceremony, a tradition marking students’ formal entry into the profession, followed by a reception for graduates and their guests.

During the event, the Outstanding BSW Student Award was presented to Elizabeth Baldwin, and the Outstanding MSW Student Award was awarded to Caitlin Remington in recognition of their academic excellence, leadership and commitment to social work values.

The Commencement Ceremony, held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, marked the completion of degrees for School of Social Work students across all levels. This semester’s graduating class included two doctoral students, 230 Master of Social Work students, 68 Bachelor of Social Work students and four Bachelor of Science in Substance Use Treatment students.

Faculty, staff and school leadership congratulated graduates and recognized their perseverance and dedication to the social work profession. Graduates were encouraged to carry forward the school’s mission to promote social justice, advance well-being and serve individuals, families and communities through ethical, evidence-based practice.
