Research and Laboratory Safety

EH&S Research and Laboratory Safety helps create a safe, compliant environment for research and teaching laboratories. We provide safety programs, training, and support services that protect people and facilities while enabling research and academic instruction.

Our services include chemical, biological, radiation, and laser safety; hazardous materials shipping; and respiratory protection. We also support institutional compliance committees — the Radiation Safety Committee (RSC), the Institutional Biosafety committee (RSC), Institutional Review Board (IRB), and the Institutional Animal Use and Care Committee (IACUC), to ensure research activities meet regulatory and safety requirements.
