Through prevention education, confidential advocacy, peer programs, events, and campus partnerships, we give students opportunities to learn, connect, build practical skills, and access support when they need it. RVSP is dedicated to preventing sexual and relationship violence while fostering a safe and supportive campus where all members can thrive academically, personally, and professionally.
Our Priorities
To fulfill our mission, we are committed to and prioritize:
- Providing prevention education and awareness that builds practical skills around consent, boundaries, communication, healthy relationships, and preventing sexualized and relationship violence.
- Providing confidential, compassionate, survivor-centered advocacy that empowers students impacted by sexualized violence and other forms of interpersonal harm to understand their rights, options, and resources.
- Developing innovative, student-centered programming that responds to the educational, personal, and safety needs of UTA students.
- Providing education, resources, and guidance to students who are supporting a friend or loved one impacted by sexualized or relationship violence.
Vision
To empower students who are victims and survivors of relationship and/or sexual violence to seek advocacy and support with assistance through the healing and justice process.
