Program Overview

Student organizations are the life line of our community. They provide support, mentorship and a sense of belonging. UTA has over 30 culturally based student organizations. Many intersect with other identities such as gender, majors, academic interest and hobbies.

Student Organizations

A Collection of Brothers

A Collection of Brothers at the University of Texas at Arlington was established as a means of social networking amongst males on campus and as a support system for males to fellowship together regardless of classification, organization affiliation, or any other factor that could portray diversity amongst one another. We provide educational, cultural, and social programs along with community service and fellowship events that encourage us to be better leaders and role models.

Black Student Association

The Black Student Association is dedicated to teaching, uniting, and networking with ALL students, while celebrating the African-American culture.

African Student Organization

The University of Texas at Arlington African Students Organization is committed to promoting awareness of African culture on the UTA campus as well as advancing the interests of the African student body at UTA.

Vietnamese Student Association

The University of Texas at Arlington chapter of the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) is a student run organization aimed at promoting awareness and an appreciation of Vietnamese culture within the community and beyond.

East African Society

The East African Society student organization aims to create an atmosphere where students can connect with one another for the appreciation and education of the culture of East Africa.

The national motto for the Youth & College Division of the NAACP is "When We Fight, We Win." We aim to unify our communities, achieve social equality, and promote the well-being of all people.
