Once the decision has been made to drop a class, complete an electronic drop form found in your MyMav account. To locate the form, click on the “My Forms” tile, then the black “Fill out a new form” button.

It is recommended that you reach out to the Dual Credit Coordinator with any concerns you may have. Please be aware that the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) will be followed.
For more information regarding FERPA, please review the Records and Registration FERPA. If your student would like to have a FERPA information release on file, they may complete the form through the Office of the Registrar by clicking on the FERPA and Parents drop down.
High school students have the benefit of earning college credit while also earning their high school diploma. This allows them to become familiar with the college culture and expectations, which should prepare them to become successful once they begin attending college full time.

Just like any other student in your class! Although the students are still in high school, they are in your class for the full experience. They should be treated no differently.
Yes, parents/guardians need to sign off on all dual credit coursework. A student is unable to register for a course without approval first.
Yes, dual credit students have access to the resources on campus since they are a registered UTA student.
The Dual Credit Coordinator will send out a final grade report request at the end of each semester. You will need to include the numeric and letter grade on this report. The numeric grades are used on the high school transcripts. It is important to return these reports by the provided deadline.
Yes, but only if a FERPA waiver is on file for the student. More information regarding FERPA can be found on the Office of Records and Registration. It is noted on the MyMav Student Center, under the holds area, if a there is a privacy release on file.
