Program Overview
UTA offers the only aerospace engineering program in North Texas and is one of five programs in the state. Our location within miles of several global aerospace companies provides opportunities for employment, internships and research.
The overall objective of the graduate programs in Aerospace Engineering is to develop in a student the ability to define a technical problem, establish an appropriate mathematical or experimental model based on a firm understanding of the physical nature of the problem, analyze the problem by theoretical, numerical, or experimental techniques, and evaluate the results.
There are two entries to the Ph.D. program in Aerospace Engineering. The MS Entry program is for students entering the program with a Master's degree. The BS-entry PhD is an accelerated program in which the student bypasses the master's thesis and proceeds directly to dissertation research.

UTA’s Central Library FabLab boasts 8,000-square-feet of makerspace featuring 3D printers, laser cutters, screen printers, kilns, and much more for learners from any discipline or experience level. In addition to the FabLab, the College of Engineering boasts four makerspaces with a variety of equipment available to students who wish to create prototypes or complete projects.
