How to Apply

UTA’s undergraduate program in Geology offers multiple degree options aligned with career pathways in environmental science, engineering geology, geographic information systems (GIS), and teacher certification. Students study earth systems—including the hydrosphere, atmosphere, soils, and rock formations—while developing skills in field methods and spatial data analysis.
Hands-on learning integrates fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and data interpretation. Through research opportunities and applied projects, students strengthen observation, data collection, analysis, and scientific communication skills. Faculty-led research and laboratory facilities support the exploration of natural resources, environmental change, and infrastructure challenges.
Graduates may pursue roles in environmental consulting, resource management, engineering support, and geospatial analysis, or continue into graduate programs.
