Dean Parr
Dr. Adrian Parr is the Dean of the College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs (CAPPA) at The University of Texas at Arlington. Parr is the UNESCO Chair on Water and Human Settlements. She joined UTA after serving as the Director of the Taft Research Center for Humanities and Chair of Taft Faculty at the University of Cincinnati, where she was also a tenured Professor in the Department of Political Science and the School of Architecture and Interior Design. Prior to her appointment at the University of Cincinnati, she was a faculty member at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Born, raised, and educated in Australia, Parr is a leading academic authority and respected author focused on water resources, climate change, sustainability, and social justice.
Fred Perpall
As CEO of The Beck Group, Fred Perpall, FAIA leads the firm’s domestic and international design, planning, real estate consultancy, and construction businesses. An active member of his community, Fred is Chairman of the Dallas Citizens Council, on the board of directors of Dallas Medical Resource and a Director for Triumph Bancorp (TBK). He also serves on the Board of Councilors for The Carter Center and is a member of the United States Golf Association Executive Committee. A native of the Bahamas, Fred earned both a Bachelors and Masters of Architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and is a former Americas Fellow at The Baker Institute at Rice University.
Francisco Sil
Francisco was born and raised in Mexico City. After graduating from the University of Mexico City with a degree in Architecture, he gained experience working at international architecture firms such as FREE, Fernando Romero in Mexico City, and contributing to freelance projects with various architects in the US and Mexico. He is currently in his fourth year working for CallisonRTKL, an international architecture firm in Dallas, contributing his international experience and design skills to projects in Mexico, Kuwait, and the US. Francisco is the 2020 co-chair of the AIA Dallas Latinos in Architecture (LiA) network. LiA works to promote diversity, support local communities, and build relationships between architects.
