Postdoc Trio Chosen for Fellowship

Three UTA postdoctoral students are playing important roles in a new initiative designed to prepare researchers for impactful careers.
The Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Research Universities (HSRU) launched its inaugural Postdoctoral Fellowship Program with a cohort of 31 scholars from 15 HSRU member institutions. Three are from UTA: Benoit Bechade (biology), Silvia Jessica Mostacedo Marasovic (education), and Derek Falk (social work).
The fellowship cohort comprises emerging scholars whose research, teaching, and leadership reflect a deep commitment to serving students. Through the program, they will have access to a robust support system, including mentorship from senior faculty, support from a community of peer scholars, and engagement with public and private partners committed to excellence in research.
“We’re thrilled to welcome this remarkable inaugural cohort,” says James Holloway, HSRU postdoctoral program chair. “Each fellow brings a depth of insight and commitment that will enrich our campuses and broaden the path to academic leadership.”
