American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month

American Indian and Alaskan Native Heritage Bulletin BoardAmerican Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month is celebrated during the month of November. In 1990 President George H. W. Bush approved a joint resolution designating November 1990 “National American Indian Heritage Month,” (including “Native American Heritage Month” and “National American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month”). The month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Indigenous people. It is also time to explore the state of well-being of Indigenous people in the United States.
