The Department of Theatre Arts & Dance produces a full season of theatrical and musical works, and currently offers two undergraduate degrees.

Department of Theatre Arts & Dance

The Department of Theatre Arts and Dance involves world-renowned faculty and a diverse population of over 150 undergraduate students. A yearly season of theatrical works combined with engaging coursework provides a vibrant setting for student opportunities. There are currently two undergraduate degrees offered: Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Fine Arts. The BFA program has a choice of concentration in Acting, Musical Theatre, or Design & Technology, and the BA program is a more generalized Theatre Arts degree with coursework in multiple disciplines and areas of interest. Each year, multiple theatre productions are performed alongside academic learning. Students have performance opportunities throughout the year to be involved in numerous aspects of production including set design, dramaturgy, technology, acting, musical theatre, costume design, lighting, sound, and stage management. Students are encouraged to participate as much as their schedule allows, with additional opportunities to perform in activities such as Theatre for Change, Improv, and Theatre Arts Teaching Lab.
