UTA and T3 aim to make a world class bachelor’s degree attainable. Our goal is help you to and through your educational experience, so you feel supported academically, financially, and personally. The T3 Partnership is a new program serving Fort Worth ISD. You will receive personalized transition programming between high school and college, persistence coaching and student support to help you succeed on your journey.

The first step to becoming a T3 Scholar is to complete the T3 Partnership Pledge by the T3 pledge deadline of your senior year of high school.

T3 Scholars attending UTA who meet all eligibility requirements (below) will also receive funding covering the cost of classes (tuition) that federal, state, or other institutional grants or scholarships do not."

Freshmen Eligibility

T3 Scholars graduating from a Fort Worth ISD high school are eligible to receive a last dollar, tuition-only UTA T3 Scholar Award for up to eight fall and spring semesters if all of the following criteria are met and renewal requirements maintained.

1. Eligible High School

Graduate from a Fort Worth ISD high school. Final high school transcripts are required for all UTA students.

2. Submit pledge and complete UTA Admissions Application

Submit T3 Partnership Pledge by T3 pledge deadline of your senior year of high school in addition to meeting all T3 Scholar deadlines to remain eligible. Required supporting admission documents for UTA must be received by March 1. It is recommended students are admitted by February to be considered for academic scholarships.

3. FAFSA & TASFA Eligibility

Complete the FAFSA or TASFA including UTA’s school code (003656) by the January 15th priority date. Be eligible to receive fund through the Federal Pell Grant or Texas Grant programs. Required supporting financial aid documents, including verification, for UTA must be received by March 1. Outstanding financial aid documents can be found on your MyMav portal under the TO DO list.

4. Family Income

Family income of $65,000 or less.

5. Residency

Must be a Texas resident for tuition purposes.

6. Enroll

Must start classes the fall semester after high school graduation and register for a minimum of at least 12 credit hours in each semester (fall and spring).

Tuition and Affordability


The T3 Partnership scholarship covers the gap between need-based financial aid and the cost of tuition for up to a time limit or the completion of a degree. UTA also offers a wide variety of financial assistance to help secure your future as a Maverick.
