Request, Review, and Approve

Stakeholders play an essential role in the creative workflow within Lytho, contributing through submitting requests, reviewing creative assets, and collaborating with project teams. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to successfully use the Request and Review features as a stakeholder.

Submitting a New Request

A Request acts as your creative brief—outlining the work you need from the creative team.

  1. Go to My Requests—this is the default landing page when you log in.
  2. Select Add Request from the top right side of the request page.
  3. Choose the appropriate request form for your needs.
  4. Complete the fields; your inputs save automatically.
  5. Submit when ready. You may return later to finish drafts.

Statuses you'll see include Draft, Submitted, Declined, Accepted, and Completed.

  • You can modify your request while it’s still in Submitted status.
  • If your request is Declined, you will receive comments explaining why, and the request will return to Draft so you can update and resubmit.

Once submitted, each request has a Request Details page that allows you to:

  • View acceptance status and due dates.
  • See assigned team members (Members).
  • View attached files and progress.
  • Communicate via comments using @mentions.
  • Access final deliverables after completion.

Keeping communication within the request ensures all details remain in one central place.

Receiving a Review Invitation

When creative work is ready for your feedback:

  • You’ll receive an email from noreply@lytho.com
  • The notification includes the review name, deadline, and instructions

You can access the review directly from the email or within Lytho under My Reviews.

Lytho’s review viewer is designed to help you clearly see assets, add comments, and submit approvals.

Key Navigation Tools

  • Page Navigator (Left Panel): Browse pages or assets via thumbnails.
  • Comment Icons: See comment counts at a glance.
  • Bottom Navigation: Move between pages or assets using the arrows.
  • General Comment Tool: Leave comments not tied to a specific annotation.

These tools help streamline your review process and ensure your feedback is clear.

Please write clear, actionable comments in your notations that describes what needs to change and why. Vague notes like "fix this" create back-and-forth. Be direct: "Change font to match brand guidelines" or "Update this date to June 15."

An approval status must be assigned to each page to submit your review.

Approval options include:

  • Approved As Is: Proof is approved as is and project will move forward
  • Approved with Changes: Edits are needed but once they are made, the project can move forward without another review
  • Change and Resubmit: Edits are needed and stakeholder requests to see an updated proof before the project can move forward

You can apply statuses in three ways:

Setting an approval status does not submit your review. Once an approval status has been set for each page, the Submit button will appear in the bottom right corner.

  • Current Page
  • Current Asset (all pages)
  • All Assets

Once all assets have a status, the Exit button changes to Submit. Select Submit, then confirm your review.
