Follow these steps to prepare for your first semester:
Why is this important ?
- Covers degree requirements, advising, registration, and credit verification
- Must be completed at least two weeks before your New Maverick Orientation
- Allows you to time to smoothly register for courses
The sooner you complete the Self-Guided Advising Course, the sooner you can register for classes!
1. Complete a Self-Guided Academic Advising Short Course

2. After completing the course, the following groups are required to schedule a follow-up appointment with an advisor:

Students can speak with an advisor at New Maverick Orientation. If you need to contact an advisor, email is the quickest option. Please note that during peak orientation season, advisors may have delayed responses due to high email volume and attending orientation sessions.
