UTA offers dual credit opportunities to students in public, charter and homeschools within the DFW area. Take advantage of earning college credit while attending classes on the UTA campus with other UTA students. You have the opportunity to be immersed into the college culture from day one.

There are many great reasons to participate in a dual credit program. The classes you take will prepare you to be successful in college.
By taking dual credit you can:

- Become familiar with a university environment
Class Selection
Dual Credit students have the ability to take a maximum of 2 courses per semester at the 1000 and 2000 level provided they meet required prerequisites. Students are encouraged to take classes from the core course list.
Please note that some majors require specific classes to be taken to satisfy core; email the Dual Credit Coordinator at
dualcredit@uta.edu or schedule an appointment for more information.
The Dual Credit Coordinator can also assist with course planning if a student has a specific major in mind once they graduate and plan to attend UTA.
Keep in mind that certain dual credit partnerships include which courses a student is eligible to take and options may be limited.
