Disability Awareness Month

October is known as the Disability Culture Month also known as Disability Awareness Month. This began 30 years ago when the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law in 1990. During this month we are recognizing the contributions of individuals with disabilities and continuing needs that require advocacy.
