Women's History Month

In March, we celebrate Women’s History Month in recognition of women’s service and contributions. In 1978 this celebration was known as "Women's History Day", in 1980 it was then recognized as a national week and in 1987, Congress declared March as National Women’s History Month indefinitely. We celebrate Women's History Month to remind ourselves of the accomplishments of women throughout the years to our culture and society.
